Motor ratings and speed profile by supply voltage
The SH30703P1AF4100 delivers nominal speed that depends on the supply: 3000 rpm at 230 V single-phase input, 6000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 7200 rpm at 480 V three-phase. This means the same motor frame covers both low-speed high-torque and high-speed low-torque applications depending on the drive voltage — useful when standardising one motor across multiple line voltages. Nominal torque is 2.8 N.m at 230 V single phase, dropping to 2.1 N.m at both 400 V and 480 V three phase. Continuous power is 1330 W at 400/480 V three phase, 830 W at 230 V single phase. The torque constant is 0.72 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, so drive current sizing should use this value for thermal steady-state. Peak stall torque reaches 11.3 N.m at 115...480 V three phase, with a continuous stall torque of 2.94 N.m over the same voltage range. The 3-second peak current is 17.0 A — the drive's peak current capability must match this figure to avoid torque clipping during acceleration or reversing cycles.
Encoder, brake, and environmental sealing
Fitted with an absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL encoder. No homing routine is needed on power-up — the position is known immediately. This encoder protocol is compatible with Schneider drives (Lexium 32, 62) that support Hiperface DSL; confirm drive firmware version before commissioning. The holding brake delivers 3 N.m holding torque and consumes 7 W pull-in power. For vertical-axis applications, the brake holds the load at standstill without servo current, but the brake release time must be coordinated with the drive enable sequence to prevent load drop. IP65 protection on both the motor body and the shaft bushing, conforming to IEC 60034-5. This allows direct washdown exposure — suitable for food processing, beverage filling, or machining lines where coolant spray is present. The shaft seal is the wet-end barrier; the connector interface uses a straight or rotatable right-angle Quicklock connector.
Mechanical interface and mounting
Motor flange size is 70 mm (2.8 in) with a centring collar depth of 2.5 mm. The shaft diameter is 14 mm with a parallel key (key width 5 mm) and shaft length 30 mm. Overall motor length is 246 mm (9.7 in). Mounts to an international standard flange — compatible with common gearbox input flanges in this frame class. Maximum radial force Fr is 1070 N at 1000 rpm; maximum axial force Fa is 160 N. These limits govern belt-drive or direct-coupling selection — exceeding them shortens bearing life or causes shaft deflection that misaligns the encoder.
