Supply-voltage-dependent performance map
The SH31001P11F1200 is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series, but its speed and torque curves shift with the supply. On 400 V three-phase it delivers 5000 rpm nominal speed and 1410 W output; on 480 V three-phase it reaches 6000 rpm and 1630 W. On single-phase 115 V or 230 V the nominal speed drops to 1250 rpm or 2500 rpm respectively, and nominal torque ranges from 25.76 lbf.in (115 V) down to 20.09 lbf.in (400/480 V). This means the same motor body covers a wide application range — but the drive tuning and power wiring must match the actual line voltage, not just the motor nameplate.
Sealing and mechanical limits
IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing — conforming to IEC 60034-5. This means the motor handles washdown without a secondary cover, but the connector must be mated correctly to maintain the seal. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 900 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 530 N at 5000 rpm; maximum axial force is 160 N. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 40 mm shaft length, and the flange is the international standard 100 mm size with a 3.5 mm centring collar depth.
Thermal and electrical parameters for drive tuning
Stator resistance is 3.8 Ohm, stator inductance 9.5 mH — these set the electrical time constant and influence the current-loop gains in the servo drive. The torque constant is 0.84 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature; the back-EMF constant is 60 V/krpm at 20 °C. Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N.m across the three-phase supply range; peak stall torque is 9.6 N.m. The maximum continuous current Irms is 12.0 A, with a 3-second peak of the same 12.0 A — so the peak-to-continuous ratio is modest, meaning short overloads are limited. Cooling is natural convection, so the motor relies on its own surface area and the machine frame for heat rejection.
