Speed and torque across supply voltages
The SH31001P12A1200: This motor delivers different speed and torque depending on the supply. At 400 V three-phase, nominal speed is 5000 rpm with 2.27 N.m nominal torque; at 480 V three-phase, it reaches 6000 rpm with the same 2.27 N.m torque. On single-phase 115 V, nominal speed drops to 1250 rpm with 2.91 N.m torque. Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, with a peak stall torque of 9.6 N.m — useful for acceleration and high-inertia loads.
Encoder and feedback for position control
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback without needing a battery backup for multi-turn counts — suitable for applications that retain position data after power loss. The torque constant is 0.84 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 60 V/krpm at 20 °C — these define the current-to-torque relationship and the voltage generated at speed.
Environmental protection and cooling
IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5 — the motor withstands washdown and dust ingress, making it suitable for food-and-beverage or wet processing lines. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan, so the motor relies on its own surface area and mounting flange for heat dissipation. The continuous power rating of 1190 W assumes free airflow around the motor.
Mechanical integration and shaft details
Flange size is 100 mm (3.9 in) with an international standard flange mounting. The shaft is 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, with a parallel key and 6 mm keyway — standard for coupling to loads via a keyed shaft.
