100 mm flange, 168.5 mm body — SH3 frame dimensions
The SH31001P1AA3000 is a 100 mm flange-size servo motor (3.9 in) with an international standard flange mounting pattern. The body length is 168.5 mm (6.6 in), and the shaft measures 19 mm diameter by 40 mm long with a parallel key and 6 mm keyway. Centring collar diameter is 95 mm with a 3.5 mm depth; the four mounting holes are 9.0 mm diameter on the flange face. This is the standard SH3 frame envelope — it fits the same bolt pattern as other SH3 motors of this flange class.
Speed and torque — voltage-dependent curves
Nominal speed is 2500 rpm on 230 V single-phase supply, 5000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 6000 rpm on 480 V three-phase. The maximum mechanical speed is 6000 rpm regardless of supply voltage. Nominal torque is 2.64 N·m (23.37 lbf·in) at 230 V single phase, and 2.27 N·m (20.09 lbf·in) at both 400 V and 480 V three phase. Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 3.5 A. Peak stall torque reaches 9.6 N·m (85.0 lbf·in) on 115–480 V three-phase supply. The torque constant is 0.84 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back-EMF constant is 60 V/krpm at 20 °C.
1190 W continuous — natural convection cooling
Continuous output power is 1190 W on 400 V or 480 V three-phase supply, and 690 W on 230 V single phase. The motor is cooled by natural convection — no external fan or forced airflow required for the rated duty.
Absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL — no holding brake
The encoder is an absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL type — a digital serial-link feedback protocol that carries position and temperature data over a single cable pair. No battery backup is needed for single-turn absolute position on power-up. This variant is supplied without a holding brake. If the application requires a brake to hold the load at standstill (vertical axis, gravity loads), a separate brake or a braked motor variant must be selected. The electrical connection uses a straight quicklock connector.
IP65 motor body — IP54 at the shaft bushing
The motor housing is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, suitable for washdown environments and dust ingress protection. The shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring is rated IP54 — the sealing drops one class at the rotating shaft exit. Maximum radial force is 1930 N at 1000 rpm, 1530 N at 2000 rpm, and 1340 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 300 N. These limits govern belt-drive or direct-coupling applications — exceeding them shortens bearing life.
