Three-phase servo, 1190 W — the supply-dependent output curve
The SH31001P1BA4000 is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series. Its nominal output power depends on the supply voltage: 690 W on 230 V single-phase, and 1190 W on 400 V or 480 V three-phase. The speed range follows the same pattern — 2500 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 5000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 6000 rpm at 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque is 2.64 N.m on 230 V single-phase and 2.27 N.m on 400/480 V three-phase. Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, and peak stall torque reaches 9.6 N.m for short-duration acceleration. The torque constant is 0.84 N.m/A at 120 °C, and the back EMF constant is 60 V/krpm at 20 °C — the drive's DC bus must be high enough to overcome this back EMF at the target operating speed. The motor uses an absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder for feedback. This is a digital, single-cable interface — the drive must support Hiperface DSL protocol. The encoder provides position and speed feedback without a separate battery-backed multiturn count.
No holding brake — torque-hold or external brake required
Cooling is by natural convection — no integrated fan. The motor relies on its surface area and the machine's ambient airflow for heat dissipation. The maximum winding temperature (copper hot) is 130 °C; the motor's thermal protection should be set to this limit. The IP rating is IP65 for the motor body, with IP54 at the shaft bushing when the shaft seal ring is not fitted. This means the motor is protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, suitable for washdown environments, but the shaft seal area is less protected — a shaft seal ring should be added for continuous wet exposure.
Mounting and shaft interface — 100 mm flange, 19 mm keyed shaft
The motor flange size is 100 mm (international standard flange). The shaft diameter is 19 mm with a parallel key, shaft length 40 mm, and key width 6 mm. The centring collar diameter is 95 mm with a depth of 3.5 mm. Mounting holes are 9.0 mm diameter on the 100 mm flange pattern. Maximum radial force on the shaft is 2240 N at 1000 rpm, 1780 N at 2000 rpm, 1550 N at 3000 rpm, and 1340 N at 3000 rpm (the entry lists two values at 3000 rpm — the lower 1340 N is the conservative limit). Maximum axial force is 300 N. These bearing load limits must be respected for the application's operating speed. Electrical connection options include a straight connector and a quicklock rotatable right-angled connector, allowing 90° cable exit for tight panel layouts.
