Torque and speed across supply voltages
The SH31002M01A2000 delivers 5.28 N.m nominal torque at 400 V three-phase and 5.5 N.m at 230 V single-phase, with nominal speed ranging from 500 rpm (115 V single-phase) up to 2400 rpm (480 V three-phase). Continuous stall torque is 5.8 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, so the motor holds rated torque at zero speed regardless of the line voltage within that band. Continuous power is 1100 W, and nominal output power varies by supply: 300 W at 115 V single-phase, 580 W at 230 V single-phase, 1090 W at 400 V three-phase, and 1280 W at 480 V three-phase. Peak stall torque reaches 18.3 N.m — useful for short-duration acceleration or overcoming static friction.
Feedback and mechanical fit
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides high-resolution position feedback without needing a battery-backed multi-turn count — ideal for applications that require precise position retention after a power cycle, such as pick-and-place or indexing stations. Motor flange size is 100 mm (3.9 in) with a centring collar diameter of 95 mm and depth of 3.5 mm. The shaft is 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, with a 6 mm keyway, smooth shaft end — standard for coupling to a load via a flexible or bellows coupling. Maximum radial force is 990 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 620 N at 4000 rpm; maximum axial force is 160 N. These bearing load limits must be respected to avoid premature wear. The electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector, allowing the cable exit orientation to be adjusted during installation — helpful in tight cabinets or when routing cables along the machine frame.
Environmental and cooling
IP54 protection on the shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring, and IP65 on the motor body and with the shaft bushing seal — suitable for washdown environments in food processing or packaging lines where moisture and dust are present. Cooling is by natural convection, so the motor relies on its own surface area to dissipate heat; no external fan means the thermal time constant is longer, and duty cycles must be managed to stay within the continuous torque envelope. The motor is a 4-pole design with stator inductance 70.2 mH and stator resistance 8.6 Ω. The torque constant is 2.32 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 146 V/krpm at 20 °C — these values are needed for the drive's autotuning routine to correctly model the motor.
No holding brake is fitted on this variant — if the application requires a brake for vertical load holding or emergency stop, a separate brake motor or external brake resistor must be specified. The SH31002M sizing reference indicates the base motor frame; brake-equipped variants carry a different suffix.
