Three-phase winding, voltage-dependent torque curve
The SH31002P01A1200 is a three-phase servo motor — it requires a three-phase drive output, not a single-phase input motor run off a VFD with derating. The nominal speed and torque shift with the supply voltage: at 400 V three-phase, nominal speed is 4000 rpm with 4.6 Nm torque; at 480 V three-phase, nominal speed climbs to 4800 rpm with 4.4 Nm torque. Continuous power is 1900 W, with a continuous stall torque of 5.8 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range. Peak stall torque reaches 18.3 Nm, but the drive must supply 17.1 A peak current to hit that — check the drive's peak current rating against the acceleration duty cycle.
Encoder choice and brake absence
Fitted with an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder. Single-turn means the position reference resets every revolution — if the application needs multi-turn position tracking (e.g., a ball screw that travels more than one motor rev), this encoder won't retain absolute position across power cycles. Hiperface is an open standard, compatible with most Schneider drives and many third-party servo drives that support the protocol.
Sealing and mounting envelope
IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5. The shaft bushing is the limiting seal — in washdown environments where water jets hit the shaft exit, the IP65 rating means it's splash-resistant but not submersible. The housing itself is IP67, so the main body can handle temporary immersion. Mounts on a 100 mm international standard flange with a 95 mm centring collar and 9 mm mounting holes. Overall length is 204.5 mm with a 19 mm smooth shaft extending 40 mm. The smooth shaft means no keyway — the load coupling must use a clamping or friction-fit method.
