Speed-torque envelope by supply voltage
The SH31002P02F2200: This motor delivers different nominal speeds depending on the supply: 1000 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 2000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 4000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 4800 rpm at 480 V three-phase. The nominal torque drops as voltage rises — from 5.5 N·m at 115 V single-phase down to 4.4 N·m at 480 V three-phase — so the application's available supply dictates the torque-speed curve you design to. Peak stall torque is 18.3 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, giving a 3–4× overload margin over nominal for acceleration and emergency stops. Continuous stall torque sits at 5.8 N·m over the same range.
Mounting and environmental fit
The motor uses a 100 mm international standard flange (IEC 60034) with a 95 mm centring collar and 3.5 mm collar depth. Four 9 mm mounting holes on the flange face — standard bolt pattern for this frame size. Overall body length is 234.5 mm with a 40 mm smooth shaft, 19 mm diameter. The smooth shaft means no keyway — the load coupling must use a clamping or friction-fit method, not a keyed hub. IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing — suitable for washdown environments where the connector is properly mated. Cooling is natural convection, so no external fan or coolant lines needed.
Encoder and electrical interface
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback without a home cycle on power-up — the multiturn count tracks absolute position over multiple shaft revolutions. This eliminates the need for a reference run after a power loss or drive reset. Electrical connection options include a straight connector or a rotatable right-angled connector — the right-angle version helps in tight cable-tray routing where axial clearance is limited. Stator resistance is 2.4 Ω and inductance is 6.75 mH — these values set the electrical time constant and influence the drive's current-loop tuning parameters. The torque constant is 1.21 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature.
The sizing reference SH31002P groups this motor into the SH3 family — the same frame size and flange, with variants for different windings, encoder types, and brake options.
