Torque and speed across supply voltages
The SH31002P1AA3100: This SH3 servo motor delivers 5.2 Nm nominal torque at 2000 rpm on 230 V single-phase supply, 4.6 Nm at 4000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 4.4 Nm at 4800 rpm on 480 V three-phase. The peak stall torque reaches 18.3 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, which governs acceleration and deceleration performance in high-dynamic applications. Continuous stall torque is 5.8 Nm at 4.8 A continuous stall current, while the maximum current Irms is 17.1 A — the ratio between continuous and peak current defines the overload capability for short-duration moves.
Encoder feedback and environmental sealing
Cooling is by natural convection only — no external fan or forced air is required, which simplifies installation in confined cabinets but means the thermal budget depends on the motor's surface area and ambient airflow. The copper winding hot-spot temperature is rated at 130 °C.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm (3.9 in) flange size, a 95 mm centring collar diameter, and 9.0 mm mounting holes. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 40 mm shaft length, and 6 mm key width — a standard metric interface that mates with common couplings and pulleys without adapter plates. Maximum radial force Fr is 2420 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1920 N at 2000 rpm and 1670 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force Fa is 300 N. These limits govern bearing life when the motor drives a belt, gear, or direct load — exceeding them reduces L10 life below the design target.
Electrical parameters and connector options
Stator resistance is 2.4 Ohm and stator inductance is 13.5 mH — these values set the electrical time constant and influence the servo drive's tuning gains. The torque constant is 1.21 Nm/A at 120 °C winding temperature, and the back-EMF constant is 77 V/krpm at 20 °C. The 4-pole rotor design gives a balanced cogging torque profile for smooth low-speed operation. Two connector options are listed: a rotatable right-angled connector and a quicklock straight connector. Both are field-installable and allow the cable exit to be oriented for tight cable-tray routing or panel entry without bending the cable beyond its minimum radius.
