Motor sizing and torque at different supply voltages
Rated 1500 W continuous power, the SH31003M02F1200 delivers nominal torque that shifts with the supply: 7.8 N.m at 115 V single-phase, 7.5 N.m at 230 V single-phase, 7 N.m at 400 V three-phase, and 6.76 N.m at 480 V three-phase. The peak stall torque is 28.3 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range. Nominal speed also depends on the line voltage: 500 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 2000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 2400 rpm at 480 V three-phase. That means the same motor frame covers both low-speed high-torque and high-speed applications depending on the drive and supply.
Feedback comes from an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder. This is a single-cable feedback type that reports absolute position over multiple turns — no homing cycle needed after power loss, which matters for pick-and-place or gantry axes where position must be retained.
Sealing and mounting — IP65/IP67 and flange dimensions
The motor body carries IP65 protection, the shaft bushing is IP65, and the housing is IP67 per IEC 60034-5. Cooling is natural convection, so no forced-air clearance is needed around the fins. Mounting uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and a centring collar diameter of 95 mm. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a 6 mm keyway, smooth shaft end, and a 40 mm shaft length. Overall motor length is 271.5 mm.
No official successor or cross-reference is listed — this is the current production variant for the SH3 frame.
