Motor frame and mounting — 100 mm flange, IP65 shaft bushing
The SH31003M02F2000 uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm centring collar diameter and a 3.5 mm centring collar depth, mounting holes at 9.0 mm diameter. The shaft is a smooth 19 mm diameter, 40 mm long, with a 6 mm keyway. IP65 protection at the shaft bushing (per IEC 60034-5) means the motor withstands washdown environments — the sealing is at the bushing, not just the housing. The standard IP54 rating applies at the shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring.
Torque and speed across supply voltages
Nominal torque varies with the supply: 7.8 N·m at 115 V single phase, 7.5 N·m at 230 V single phase, 7.0 N·m at 400 V three phase, and 6.76 N·m at 480 V three phase. Nominal speed follows the same pattern — 500 rpm at 115 V, 1000 rpm at 230 V, 2000 rpm at 400 V, and 2400 rpm at 480 V. Continuous stall torque is 8 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, with a peak stall torque of 28.3 N·m. The holding brake delivers 9 N·m holding torque, securing the load when power is removed. Continuous power is 1500 W; the motor is naturally convection-cooled with no fan, so the thermal budget depends on the mounting surface and ambient airflow.
Encoder and feedback — absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type, providing position feedback without a home cycle on power-up. This suits applications where the axis position must be known immediately after a power loss or cycle — typical for gantry, rotary indexing, or pick-and-place stations.
Electrical parameters and thermal limits
Stator resistance is 5.3 Ω, stator inductance is 17.4 mH, and the motor has 4 poles. The torque constant is 2.35 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature; the back EMF constant is 148 V/krpm at 20 °C. Maximum continuous current is 14.7 A RMS, with a 3-second peak of 14.7 A. The hot-spot copper temperature limit is 130 °C — the winding insulation class governs the continuous duty envelope. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 1050 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 660 N at 4000 rpm; maximum axial force is 160 N.
