Motor ratings that shift with supply voltage
The SH31003M11A2000: This SH3 series servo motor delivers 1500 W continuous power, but the nominal speed and torque depend on the supply you feed it. At 115 V single phase you get 500 rpm and 69.04 lbf.in (7.8 N.m); at 230 V single phase it runs 1000 rpm at 66.4 lbf.in (7.5 N.m); on 400 V three phase it reaches 2000 rpm at 62.0 lbf.in (7 N.m); and at 480 V three phase it tops out at 2400 rpm with 59.83 lbf.in (6.76 N.m). The continuous stall torque is 70.8 lbf.in (8 N.m) across the 115...480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 3.4 A. Peak stall torque hits 250.5 lbf.in (28.3 N.m) at 14.7 A for 3 seconds — useful for acceleration transients.
Encoder and feedback — absolute single-turn Hiperface
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this gives position feedback on power-up without a homing cycle, which cuts commissioning time on multi-axis lines. The encoder type is fixed; the electrical connection uses a straight connector and a rotatable right-angled connector, so cable routing can be adjusted in the field. Back EMF constant is 148 V/krpm at 68 °F (20 °C), and the torque constant is 2.35 N.m/A at 248 °F (120 °C) copper hot — factor these into the drive tuning and thermal model.
Mounting, shaft, and protection class
The motor flange is 3.9 in (100 mm) with a centring collar diameter of 3.7 in (95 mm) and depth of 0.1 in (3.5 mm). The shaft is 0.7 in (19 mm) diameter, 1.6 in (40 mm) long, with a parallel key (0.2 in / 6 mm key width). Mounting holes are 0.4 in (9.0 mm) on the international standard flange pattern. IP rating is IP54 at the shaft bushing without a shaft seal ring, and IP65 on the motor body and with the shaft bushing seal fitted — both conforming to IEC 60034-5. For washdown environments, specify the shaft seal ring to get IP65 at the shaft exit. Cooling is natural convection, so no fan or external airflow is required.
