Three-phase servo, 1500 W continuous — speed and torque by supply voltage
The SH31003M12A1000 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor rated for three-phase supply, delivering 1500 W continuous power. Nominal speed depends on the supply: 500 rpm at 115 V single phase, 1000 rpm at 230 V single phase, 2000 rpm at 400 V three phase, and 2400 rpm at 480 V three phase. Nominal torque also varies by voltage — 7.8 N.m at 115 V single phase, dropping to 6.76 N.m at 480 V three phase — so the motor's output curve shifts with the available line.
Encoder feedback and mechanical interface
Fitted with an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder for position feedback — no homing cycle needed on power-up, which matters for multi-axis coordinated moves. This variant ships without a holding brake, so the load must be held externally if vertical-axis sag is a concern. The shaft has a parallel key (6 mm key width, 40 mm shaft length, 19 mm diameter) and mounts on an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and 95 mm centring collar.
Environmental sealing and cooling
Protection rating is IP54 at the shaft bushing without a shaft seal ring, and IP65 for the motor body and shaft bushing when the seal is fitted — suitable for washdown zones if you add the seal ring. Cooling is natural convection — no fan, so the motor relies on its own surface area and mounting plate for heat rejection.
