Torque and speed across supply voltages
This motor delivers different nominal torque and speed depending on the supply voltage and phase configuration. At 400 V three-phase, nominal speed is 2000 rpm with 7 Nm nominal torque; at 480 V three-phase, speed rises to 2400 rpm with 6.76 Nm. On single-phase 115 V, it runs at 500 rpm with 7.8 Nm; on 230 V single-phase, 1000 rpm at 7.5 Nm. The continuous power rating is 1500 W, but nominal output power varies from 410 W (115 V single-phase) to 1700 W (480 V three-phase). Continuous stall torque is 8 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 3.4 A. Peak stall torque reaches 28.3 Nm, drawing 14.7 A for up to 3 seconds. This gives you a 3.5:1 peak-to-continuous torque ratio for acceleration and emergency stops.
Encoder, feedback, and control loop fit
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type. This is a single-cable feedback system that transmits both position and commutation data over a digital serial link plus analog sine/cosine tracks. It retains position through power cycles without a battery — critical for applications where the machine must know its axis position immediately on power-up, such as pick-and-place or gantry systems. The multiturn resolution tracks absolute position over multiple shaft revolutions. The motor has 4 poles, a back EMF constant of 148 V/krpm at 20 °C, and a torque constant of 2.35 Nm/A at 120 °C hot copper temperature. Stator inductance is 17.4 mH and stator resistance is 5.3 Ohm — these parameters are needed to tune the servo drive's current loop gains and set the velocity/position loop bandwidth.
Mounting, shaft, and environmental ratings
Mounting uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size, 95 mm centring collar diameter, and 3.5 mm centring collar depth. Four mounting holes at 9.0 mm diameter on the bolt circle. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 40 mm shaft length, and 6 mm key width — standard for coupling to a load via a flexible jaw or bellows coupling. IP rating is IP54 at the shaft bushing without a shaft seal ring, and IP65 on the motor body and with the shaft bushing seal fitted. This means the motor body is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets — suitable for washdown areas in food processing or packaging lines, provided the shaft seal is installed. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or liquid cooling required, but the motor must be mounted with adequate free air space around the fins. Maximum radial force is speed-dependent: 1050 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 660 N at 4000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 160 N. These limits govern bearing life and must be respected when selecting the coupling and assessing the load overhung moment.
Electrical connections and options
The motor comes with a straight connector as standard, with a rotatable right-angled connector available as an option. This gives flexibility in cable routing in tight cabinets. The motor is supplied without a holding brake — if your application requires a brake for vertical-axis holding or emergency stop, you will need to add an external brake or select a variant with the brake option.
