Motor form factor and mounting
The SH31003M12A2100 uses a 100 mm international standard flange (IEC 60034-5) with a 95 mm centring collar and 9.0 mm mounting holes. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 40 mm shaft length, and 6 mm key width. Overall length is 240.5 mm.
Speed and torque across supply voltages
This is a three-phase servo motor, but the speed and torque vary significantly with the supply. At 115 V single phase, nominal speed is 500 rpm with 7.8 Nm torque. At 230 V single phase, it reaches 1000 rpm and 7.5 Nm. On 400 V three phase, it runs 2000 rpm at 7 Nm; at 480 V three phase, it hits 2400 rpm and 6.76 Nm. The continuous power rating is 1500 W, with nominal output power ranging from 410 W (115 V single phase) up to 1700 W (480 V three phase).
Encoder and feedback
The motor carries an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder. This gives position feedback on power-up without a homing cycle — the multiturn count tracks absolute position over multiple shaft revolutions. The electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector, with a straight connector also listed.
Stall torque and peak capability
Continuous stall torque is 8 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 3.4 A. Peak stall torque reaches 28.3 Nm, drawing 14.7 A for up to 3 seconds. The torque constant is 2.35 Nm/A at 120 °C winding temperature. Back EMF constant is 148 V/krpm at 20 °C.
Mechanical load limits
Maximum axial force (Fa) is 160 N. Radial force (Fr) depends on speed: 1050 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 660 N at 4000 rpm. These limits govern bearing life in direct-drive or belt-driven applications.
Environmental protection
IP65 per IEC 60034-5 for both the motor body and the shaft bushing. That means dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets — suitable for washdown areas but not immersion.
