The SH31003M12F2200 is a 1500 W continuous-power servo motor with an integrated holding brake — the brake holds 79.7 lbf.in (9 N.m) when the drive is off, so vertical-axis loads stay put without a separate mechanical lock. Nominal torque and speed both shift with the supply voltage: at 400 V three-phase you get 62.0 lbf.in (7 N.m) at 2000 rpm; at 480 V three-phase it's 59.83 lbf.in (6.76 N.m) at 2400 rpm. The motor delivers peak stall torque of 250.5 lbf.in (28.3 N.m) across the 115...480 V three-phase range — that's the torque available for acceleration or overcoming a jam. The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder means the drive knows the shaft position on power-up — no homing cycle needed after a power loss. That saves time on multi-axis machines where every axis would otherwise have to find its reference.
Mounting and integration — flange, shaft, and connector
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 3.9 in (100 mm) bolt circle and 0.4 in (9.0 mm) mounting holes — fits the common 100 mm frame pattern. The shaft is 0.7 in (19 mm) diameter with a parallel key, 1.6 in (40 mm) long. The electrical connection is a rotatable right-angled connector — you can orient the cable exit in four directions to fit tight cable-tray routing without adding a separate right-angle adapter. IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing — that's washdown-rated for food-and-bev or wet machining lines. Natural convection cooling means no fan to clog or fail, but the thermal budget depends on free air movement around the finned housing.
