The SH31003P01F2100 is a 2400 W continuous-power servo motor from the SH3 family, built with an integrated holding brake rated 9 N.m (79.7 lbf.in). That brake holds the load at standstill without power to the motor windings — critical for vertical-axis applications where the load drops when the drive is disabled. It carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder, which reports position at power-up without a homing move. On a machine that cycles through power-downs, this saves the seconds per cycle that a multi-turn or incremental encoder would need to re-reference. The motor is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5 on both the body and the shaft bushing.
Torque and speed across supply voltages
Nominal torque varies with the supply: 7.5 N.m at 115 V single-phase, 7.0 N.m at 230 V single-phase, 5.7 N.m at 400 V three-phase, and 5.1 N.m at 480 V three-phase. The nominal speed shifts with voltage too — 1000 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 2000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 4000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 4800 rpm at 480 V three-phase. An integrator sizing for a 400 V three-phase line gets 4000 rpm nominal speed and 5.7 N.m continuous torque. Peak stall torque is 28.3 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 8 N.m over the same range. The 28.3 A peak current and 28.3 A maximum continuous current match — the motor can deliver that peak for 3 seconds, enough for acceleration transients without tripping the drive's current limit.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size, a 95 mm centring collar diameter, and a 3.5 mm centring collar depth. Four mounting holes at 9.0 mm diameter secure it to the machine frame. The smooth shaft is 19 mm diameter by 40 mm long. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air required. That simplifies installation in confined spaces but means the thermal limit (130 °C copper hot-spot,) governs the duty cycle if the motor runs continuously at peak torque without airflow. Electrical connection is via a straight connector and a rotatable right-angled connector, giving flexibility for cable routing in tight cabinets. The IP65 rating holds at the connector interface when mated with the matching cordset.
This part is sourced through independent distribution channels.
