2400 W continuous, holding brake, and what the IP65 actually covers
The SH31003P02F1200 is an SH3-series servo motor rated for 2400 W continuous power, with a nominal torque curve that shifts with supply voltage: 5.1 N·m at 480 V three-phase, 7.5 N·m at 115 V single-phase, and 7 N·m at 230 V single-phase. The holding brake delivers 9 N·m — enough to hold a vertical axis load without a separate mechanical lock. The IP65 rating covers the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5; the housing is IP67. That means washdown-rated for food or wet environments as long as the connector is mated correctly — the straight electrical connector is the wet-end boundary.
Speed vs voltage — one motor, four torque-speed curves
Nominal speed depends on what supply you feed it: 1000 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 2000 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 4000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 4800 rpm on 480 V three-phase. The peak stall torque holds at 28.3 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, so short-duration acceleration is consistent regardless of line voltage. The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder means no homing sequence after a power cycle — the position is retained. That saves a full commissioning step on multi-axis gantries or rotary tables where the home switch is a pain to reach. Shaft is smooth, 19 mm diameter, 40 mm length, with a 100 mm flange and a 95 mm centring collar. The mounting holes are on a 9 mm diameter — standard international flange pattern, so it bolts into most common gearbox or machine frames without an adapter plate.
