Three-phase supply and speed–torque curves
The SH31003P0BA3100: This SH3 frame servo motor requires a three-phase supply. The nominal output power also varies — 1470 W on 230 V single-phase, 2390 W on either 400 V or 480 V three-phase. Continuous stall torque is 70.8 lbf·in (8 N·m) across the 115…480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 6.6 A. Peak stall torque reaches 250.5 lbf·in (28.3 N·m) on the same voltage band. The 2400 W continuous power rating and 28.3 A maximum current anchor the drive sizing — the servo drive must supply at least that peak current to exploit the motor's full acceleration capability.
Encoder feedback and mechanical interface
The shaft is smooth, 0.7 in (19 mm) diameter, 1.6 in (40 mm) length. No keyway — the coupling or pulley must grip the smooth shaft. The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 3.9 in (100 mm) flange size and a 3.7 in (95 mm) centring collar. No holding brake is fitted; the application must provide an external brake or rely on the drive's holding torque at standstill.
Environmental rating and thermal limits
IP65 protection on both the motor body and the shaft bushing — the motor withstands hose-directed water and dust ingress, making it suitable for washdown environments in food, beverage, or general wet-area production lines. Cooling is by natural convection; no fan or external air is required, but the mounting surface must allow free airflow around the frame. The stator resistance is 1.43 Ω and the stator inductance is 9.4 mH. The torque constant is 1.22 N·m/A at 248 °F (120 °C) copper temperature; the back EMF constant is 77 V/krpm at 68 °F (20 °C). Maximum mechanical speed is 6000 rpm, above the nominal speeds — the drive must limit the commanded speed to the motor's safe ceiling.
