2400 W continuous, 28.3 Nm peak — torque across the speed range
The SH31003P0BF3000 is a 2400 W continuous-power servo motor from the SH3 series, built for three-phase supplies. Its nominal torque lands at 7 Nm on 400 V three-phase, 5.7 Nm at 400 V, and 5.1 Nm at 480 V — the torque curve shifts with the line voltage, so the drive tuning must match the actual supply.
Absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL — one cable for power and feedback
The encoder is an absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL, which multiplexes position data and power over a single pair — no separate feedback cable. This simplifies the cable chain on a moving axis and reduces the number of connector pins at the drive end. The rotatable right-angle connector and the straight quicklock connector give two wiring options for tight cabinet layouts. The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and a 95 mm centring collar. The smooth shaft (19 mm diameter, 40 mm length) accepts a keyless clamp-type coupling — no keyway, so the shaft is balanced for higher speeds. Maximum radial force at 2000 rpm is 3570 N; axial force limit is 740 N. Stay within those bearing loads when sizing the belt or coupling.
IP65 motor body, natural convection — no fan noise
The shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring drops to IP54, so if the application sees direct spray on the shaft exit, specify the optional seal ring. Cooling is natural convection — no external fan, so the motor runs silently and cannot ingest debris, but the continuous torque must be derated if the ambient exceeds the 130 °C copper hot-spot limit. Stator resistance is 1.43 Ω and inductance is 9.4 mH — these values set the electrical time constant and influence the current-loop tuning gains on the servo drive. The torque constant is 1.22 Nm/A at 120 °C; the back EMF constant is 77 V/krpm at 20 °C. Use the hot torque constant for sizing the continuous current, and the cold back EMF for the bus voltage headroom at top speed.
