Motor performance by supply voltage
The SH31003P0BF4100: This SH3 frame servo delivers 2.4 kW continuous power, but the torque and speed curves shift with the incoming line voltage — a key point when swapping between 230 V single-phase and 400/480 V three-phase installations. Nominal torque at 230 V single-phase is 7 Nm at 2000 rpm; at 400 V three-phase it drops to 5.7 Nm but the speed ceiling rises to 4000 rpm. At 480 V three-phase, nominal torque is 5.1 Nm at 4800 rpm. The peak stall torque across the 115-480 V three-phase range is 28.3 Nm. Continuous stall torque is 8 Nm across the three-phase range, with the holding brake rated at 9 Nm — sufficient to hold a vertical axis load without power.
Feedback and environmental sealing
The absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder provides position feedback without a separate battery backup — the multiturn count is retained through power cycles. This eliminates home-seeking on power-up for gantry or rotary indexing axes. IP65 protection on both the motor body and the shaft bushing (per IEC 60034-5) means this motor handles washdown and airborne particulates in food processing or machining environments. The straight connector and rotatable quicklock right-angled connector options give cable exit flexibility in tight enclosures.
Mounting and mechanical fit
The 100 mm flange (3.9 in) with a 19 mm smooth shaft and 40 mm shaft length fits standard IEC metric frame patterns. Centring collar depth is 3.5 mm and mounting hole diameter is 9 mm — verify the mating pilot bore and bolt pattern before committing the BOM.
