Speed and torque across supply voltages
The SH31003P11A1200 delivers nominal speeds from 1000 rpm on single-phase 115 V up to 4800 rpm on three-phase 480 V — the same motor covers low-speed high-torque and high-speed applications depending on the drive and supply. Nominal torque varies with supply: 7.5 Nm at 115 V single phase, 7 Nm at 230 V single phase, 5.7 Nm at 400 V three phase, and 5.1 Nm at 480 V three phase. The continuous stall torque is 8 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, which is the holding torque available at zero speed regardless of supply.
Feedback and environmental protection
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback at power-up without a homing sequence — critical for applications where the axis position must be known immediately after a power cycle. The encoder type dictates the compatible servo drive; not all drives support Hiperface protocol. IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5 — this motor handles washdown environments and dust ingress typical in food processing, packaging, and material handling lines. The straight electrical connector must be properly mated and sealed to maintain the rating.
Mechanical interface and load limits
The 100 mm flange with a 19 mm shaft diameter and parallel key is a standard international mounting pattern — fits common gearboxes and pulleys without adapter plates. Centring collar diameter is 95 mm with a 3.5 mm depth. Maximum radial force Fr is 1050 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 660 N at 4000 rpm. Maximum axial force Fa is 160 N. These limits govern belt tension and overhung load — exceeding them shortens bearing life or causes shaft failure.
Electrical parameters for drive sizing
Stator resistance is 1.43 Ohm and stator inductance is 4.7 mH. The torque constant is 1.22 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 77 V/krpm at 20 °C. These values are needed to tune the servo drive current loop and set the velocity loop gains. Peak stall torque is 28.3 Nm with a corresponding peak current of 28.3 A for 3 seconds. The continuous output power is 2400 W. The drive must supply at least 28.3 A peak to achieve the full acceleration torque; continuous current rating of the drive should match the application duty cycle.
