The SH31003P12A1200 is a 100 mm flange servo motor (IEC standard) with an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — the feedback type that retains position through a power cycle, eliminating the need for a homing routine on restart. It ships without a holding brake, so any vertical-axis load requires an external brake or a counterbalance. The motor itself is natural-convection cooled — no fan, no forced-air requirement, which simplifies ducting in clean-room or dust-sensitive zones.

The straight electrical connector mates with a standard cable gland; no right-angle adapter needed for tight side-clearance. Maximum radial force Fr derates with speed: 1050 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 660 N at 4000 rpm. Maximum axial force Fa is 160 N — direct-drive applications with thrust loads (leadscrews, linear actuators) must stay within this limit or use a thrust bearing.
