The SH31003P12F1200 is a three-phase SH3-frame servo motor with an integrated holding brake. Its nominal speed shifts with the supply: 1000 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 2000 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 4000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 4800 rpm on 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque and output power follow the same pattern — the highest continuous power, 2560 W, is delivered at 480 V three-phase, while the 115 V single-phase entry yields 790 W. The continuous power rating of 2400 W is the thermal ceiling across the operating envelope.
Brake torque, peak current, and encoder — what drives the drive selection
The holding brake delivers 9 N·m (79.7 lbf·in) — enough to hold a vertical axis load at rest without servo current. Peak stall torque reaches 28.3 N·m (250.5 lbf·in) across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and the drive must supply 28.3 A peak to achieve it. The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder eliminates the need for a home cycle on power-up — the drive reads the absolute position from the encoder's multiturn count. This encoder type is common on Schneider Lexium drives; confirm the drive model supports Hiperface protocol before pairing. Stator resistance is 1.43 Ω and inductance is 4.7 mH — the electrical time constant (L/R) is about 3.3 ms, which sets a lower bound on the current-loop bandwidth the drive must achieve for stable torque control.
IP65/IP67 sealing and flange mounting — ready for washdown zones
The motor body and shaft bushing meet IP65 per IEC 60034-5, and the housing is rated IP67 — the motor withstands hose-down cleaning in food or beverage lines without additional enclosure. The 100 mm international standard flange (3.9 in) with a 0.4 in (9.0 mm) mounting hole diameter and 3.5 mm centring collar depth matches the common IEC B5 or B14 mounting pattern. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 40 mm shaft length, and 6 mm key width — standard for direct coupling to gearboxes or pulleys.
