2400 W three-phase servo with integrated holding brake
The SH31003P1BF3000 is a three-phase servo motor from Schneider Electric's SH3 series, delivering 2400 W continuous power with an integrated holding brake. It carries an absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder for position feedback — no homing cycle needed after power loss, which matters on vertical-axis or gantry applications where the load can drift during a power-down. Nominal torque sits at 7 N.m at 230 V single phase, dropping to 5.7 N.m at 400 V three phase and 5.1 N.m at 480 V three phase. The holding brake delivers 9 N.m — enough to secure the load on a stopped vertical axis without the drive holding current.
Speed and torque across supply voltages
Nominal speed shifts with the supply: 2000 rpm on 230 V single phase, 4000 rpm on 400 V three phase, and 4800 rpm on 480 V three phase. Peak stall torque reaches 28.3 N.m across the 115-480 V three-phase range, giving headroom for short-duration overloads during acceleration or load transients. Continuous stall torque is 8 N.m at 115-480 V three phase, with a torque constant of 1.22 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature. The back EMF constant is 77 V/krpm at 20 °C — useful for estimating the DC-bus voltage needed to reach a given speed without field weakening.
Mounting, cooling, and environmental sealing
Mounts on an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size and 95 mm centring collar diameter. The shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 40 mm shaft length — fits standard couplings and pulleys in that bore range. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air required, which simplifies installation in confined cabinets or clean-room environments where airflow is restricted. The motor body carries IP65 protection per IEC 60034-5; the shaft bushing without seal ring is IP54, so a shaft seal is needed for washdown zones. Electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector and a quicklock straight connector — both are field-rotatable for cable exit orientation. Maximum radial force at 3000 rpm is 3120 N, dropping to 3570 N at 2000 rpm and 4500 N at 1000 rpm; maximum axial force is 740 N.
