Motor specs that decide the fit
The SH31004P0BF3000: This SH3 series servo motor delivers 2.5 kW continuous power and hits 3000 rpm on 400 V three-phase supply — the nominal torque at that point is 7.9 N·m, but the holding brake locks 12 N·m, so it holds a vertical load without back-driving the gearbox. The absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder means no homing sequence on power-up — the position is known from the moment the drive enables, which saves a cycle on every restart. IP65 on the motor body (with IP54 at the shaft bushing unless a seal ring is fitted) means it handles washdown in food or beverage lines, but the shaft seal needs attention if water jets hit the output end directly.
Brake and torque — what the numbers mean
The holding brake pulls 18 W to release — factor that into the 24 VDC supply sizing if the brake is held open for long periods; the coil temperature rise is accounted for in the 130 °C copper hot rating.
