Feedback and motion control
The SH31004P1BF3000: This motor carries an absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder — a single-cable digital interface that carries both power and feedback on a hybrid cable, eliminating a separate feedback harness. The multiturn count tracks absolute position through 4096 revolutions, so a machine homing cycle after a power loss is not needed. The encoder protocol is standard on Lexium 32 and Lexium 28 servo drives; the drive auto-detects the motor data plate on first power-up.
Brake and mechanical interface
The holding brake delivers 12 N·m static holding torque and draws 18 W pull-in power. The brake is spring-applied, power-off engaged — it holds the vertical axis load when the drive is disabled. The 24 mm shaft with a parallel key and 50 mm shaft length fits standard incremental encoder pulleys and coupling hubs. The 100 mm flange with a 95 mm centring collar and 9.0 mm mounting holes matches the IEC 100 frame pattern common on Lexium 32 servo gearboxes and linear actuator mounts. The motor is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, with the shaft bushing rated IP54 when the shaft seal ring is not fitted. In washdown or coolant-exposed environments, fit the optional shaft seal ring to keep the front bearing cavity dry. The straight quicklock connector mates with the matching Lexium power-and-feedback cable — the connector is keyed and the pin count matches the Hiperface DSL hybrid cable pinout.
Torque and speed across supply voltages
The motor's nominal torque and speed depend on the drive supply voltage. At 230 V single-phase input, the nominal output is 1.49 kW with 9.5 N·m torque at 1500 rpm. The peak stall torque is 40.5 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range — this is the torque available during acceleration and deceleration before the current limit trips. The continuous stall torque is 10 N·m over the same voltage range, which sets the thermal limit for holding a position under load without the winding temperature exceeding 130 °C.
