The SH31401M01A1100 carries a 140 mm IEC flange (5.5 in) with a 130 mm centring collar that seats 3.5 mm deep — the standard interface for a frame size that mates with most inline gearboxes and linear actuators in this power class. Mounting holes are on a 11 mm diameter pattern. Overall body length is 217.5 mm (8.6 in), with a 24 mm smooth shaft extending 50 mm. The shaft end is plain (no keyway), so the coupling or pulley must transmit torque through a clamping or friction fit.
Torque and speed across supply voltages
This is a multi-voltage machine — its rated speed shifts with the supply. On three-phase 400 V it delivers 1500 rpm nominal; on 480 V three-phase it reaches 1800 rpm. Single-phase 230 V gives 750 rpm, and 115 V single-phase drops to 375 rpm. The maximum mechanical speed is 4000 rpm regardless of supply. Nominal torque also varies by supply: 11 N.m at 115 V single-phase, 10.95 N.m at 230 V single-phase, 10.6 N.m at 400 V three-phase, and 10.4 N.m at 480 V three-phase. Continuous stall torque (zero-speed holding) is 11.1 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 4 A. Peak stall torque reaches 27 N.m for short-term acceleration or overload events. Continuous power is rated at 1700 W. Nominal output power varies with supply: 430 W on 115 V single-phase, 860 W on 230 V single-phase, 1670 W on 400 V three-phase, and 1960 W on 480 V three-phase.
Feedback, cooling, and environmental sealing
The encoder is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface type — it reports position at power-on without a homing move, and the sinusoidal analog tracks give the drive high-resolution velocity feedback for smooth low-speed control. The motor has 5 pole pairs. IP65 protection on both the motor body and the shaft bushing (per IEC 60034-5) means it handles washdown and wet environments — suitable for food-and-beverage lines or outdoor conveyor sections where hose-down cleaning is routine.
Electrical parameters and drive pairing
Stator resistance is 5.3 Ω per phase, stator inductance is 88.55 mH. The torque constant is 2.78 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back-EMF constant is 193 V/krpm at 20 °C. Maximum continuous RMS current is 10.8 A — this is the current limit the drive's current loop must be configured to respect. The sizing reference SH31401M identifies the motor family for drive parameter files — the matching Lexium drive series will have pre-loaded motor data for this rotor inertia and winding set, which simplifies commissioning.
Electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector or a straight connector — both are listed, so the cable exit direction can be oriented for tight cabinet layouts. No holding brake is fitted (: Without), so for vertical-axis or power-off holding applications an external brake or a motor variant with brake must be specified.
