1700 W three-phase servo with holding brake
The SH31401M01F1000 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor with an integrated holding brake, rated for 1700 W continuous power on three-phase supply. The nominal speed depends on the line voltage: 1500 rpm at 400 V three-phase, 1800 rpm at 480 V three-phase, with a maximum mechanical speed of 4000 rpm. The holding brake delivers 23 Nm holding torque, enough to secure a vertical-axis load without a separate brake resistor. The continuous stall torque is 11.1 Nm at 4 A stall current, and the peak stall torque reaches 27 Nm for short-duration acceleration moves.
Encoder feedback and cooling — no homing, no fan
The IP rating depends on the shaft seal fitted: IP54 with the standard shaft bushing without seal ring, IP65 with the optional shaft seal ring. The motor body itself is IP65-capable per IEC 60034-5.
Mounting interface and shaft — 140 mm flange, smooth shaft
The motor flange is 140 mm with a 130 mm centring collar and 11 mm mounting holes — fits standard international flange patterns. The shaft is 24 mm diameter, 50 mm long, smooth (no keyway), with an 8 mm key width if a key is added. The electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled or straight connector, so the cable exit direction can be field-configured to fit the cabinet layout. Maximum axial force is 300 N; maximum radial force is 1930 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1340 N at 3000 rpm.
The sizing reference is SH31401M, and the device short name is SH3. The motor is supplied as a single unit with the brake pre-installed.
