Motor ratings and supply-voltage dependency
The SH31401M01F2200 is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series, rated for 1700 W continuous power with natural convection cooling — no external fan or coolant circuit needed for the rated duty. Nominal speed shifts with the supply: 375 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 750 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 1500 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 1800 rpm on 480 V three-phase. Maximum mechanical speed is 4000 rpm regardless of supply. Nominal torque also varies by supply: 11 N·m at 115 V single-phase, 10.95 N·m at 230 V single-phase, 10.6 N·m at 400 V three-phase, and 10.4 N·m at 480 V three-phase. Continuous stall torque across the three-phase range is 11.1 N·m at 4 A continuous stall current. Peak stall torque reaches 27 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, useful for short-duration acceleration or overcoming static friction during startup.
Holding brake and encoder feedback
Feedback comes from an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder, providing position data at power-up without a homing cycle. The single-turn resolution is adequate for applications where the load does not rotate more than one revolution from the reference position. The torque constant is 2.78 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 193 V/krpm at 20 °C — both values needed for drive tuning and current-loop gain calculation.
Mechanical interface and environmental sealing
Mounting uses an international standard flange with a 140 mm flange size, 130 mm centring collar diameter, and 3.5 mm centring collar depth. Four mounting holes at 11 mm diameter on the flange face. The shaft is 24 mm diameter with a smooth end, 50 mm shaft length, and 8 mm keyway width — a standard metric keyed interface for coupling to lead screws, belts, or gearboxes. IP65 rating on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing — both conforming to IEC 60034-5. The rotatable right-angled connector allows cable exit orientation adjustment during installation without opening the motor.
