Encoder, IP rating, and shaft details
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type — this gives position feedback on power-up without a homing move, and the multiturn count tracks absolute revolutions. The motor carries IP65 protection on both the motor body and the shaft bushing, conforming to IEC 60034-5. That means it handles washdown spray but not submersion.
