1700 W servo, 11 Nm torque — voltage-dependent speed profile
The SH31401M02A1200 is a Schneider Electric SH3-series servo motor rated for 1700 W continuous power, delivering 11 Nm nominal torque at 400 V three-phase supply, with a peak stall torque of 27 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range. Nominal speed varies with line voltage: 1500 rpm at 400 V three-phase, 1800 rpm at 480 V three-phase, and 750 rpm on 230 V single-phase — the motor is wound for multi-voltage operation, so the BOM voltage determines the base speed. Maximum mechanical speed is 4000 rpm, giving headroom above the nominal range for applications requiring short bursts above base speed.
Absolute multiturn encoder, IP65 sealed — no holding brake
Encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type — provides position feedback on power-up without a home cycle, suitable for applications where the machine must resume from a known position after a power loss. IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5 — the motor withstands washdown and dust ingress, making it a fit for food-and-beverage or wet-environment lines. This variant ships without a holding brake — the load must be held externally (mechanical brake or drive holding torque) when power is removed.
Mounting and mechanical interface — 140 mm flange, smooth shaft
International standard flange, 140 mm flange size, with a 130 mm centring collar and 11 mm mounting holes — bolts to standard servo motor mounts without adapter plates. Smooth shaft, 24 mm diameter, 50 mm shaft length, 8 mm keyway — the smooth shaft allows direct coupling or pulley mounting; the key transmits torque without a clamping element.
