Supply-voltage dependent speed-torque envelope
The SH31401M02F1100 is a three-phase SH3 frame servo motor delivering 1700 W continuous power. Its nominal speed and torque shift with the supply: 1500 rpm / 10.6 N.m at 400 V three-phase, 1800 rpm / 10.4 N.m at 480 V three-phase, and 750 rpm / 10.95 N.m on 230 V single-phase — the single-phase figures are derated from the three-phase rating, not a different winding. Peak stall torque hits 27 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque sits at 11.1 N.m — the motor can hold that indefinitely without thermal trip at rated ambient.
Holding brake and encoder — vertical-axis fit
Integrated holding brake rated 23 N.m static torque — enough to stop and hold a vertical payload at the motor shaft without power. The brake engages when drive enable drops; for Z-axis or gantry applications, confirm the load inertia against the brake's dynamic engagement rating in the drive parameter set. Absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder reports position through power cycles — no homing sequence on startup. The multiturn count covers the full travel range for most single-turn applications; if the axis rotates more than 4096 turns between power-ups, the absolute count wraps and a reference move is needed.
IP65 and connector routing
IP65 rated per IEC 60034-5 on the motor body and shaft bushing — the motor survives washdown spray but not submersion. The rotatable right-angled connector and the straight connector option let the cable exit in the direction that fits the cable track or drag chain without a separate right-angle adapter. Natural convection cooling means no fan or compressed-air line — the motor relies on its surface area and the mounting flange to dissipate 1700 W of continuous losses. In a confined enclosure or with a thermally insulating coupling, derate the continuous torque or add forced airflow.
