Motor specs that decide the drive match
The SH31401M11A1200 is a 1700 W continuous-power servo motor from Schneider's SH3 family, with a nominal torque of 11 Nm at 400 V three-phase and a peak stall torque of 27 Nm for acceleration transients. Speed vs voltage is load-dependent: at 400 V three-phase it delivers 1500 rpm nominal, at 480 V three-phase 1800 rpm, and at 115 V single-phase only 375 rpm — so the supply voltage directly sets the base speed for the application. The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder means the drive knows the shaft position at power-up without a homing sequence — critical for applications where the axis must resume from a known position after a power cycle.
Sealing, mounting, and the brake decision
IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing — this motor handles washdown environments (food processing, beverage lines, outdoor wash) as long as the mating connector is also rated for the same ingress level. This variant ships without a holding brake. If the vertical axis or the application requires the load to stay put when power is removed, an external brake or a different SH3 variant with brake is needed. The flange is the international standard 140 mm size with a 130 mm centring collar and 11 mm mounting holes — fits the common IEC frame pattern for direct replacement in most servo mounts. Shaft is 24 mm diameter with a parallel key, 50 mm shaft length — standard for this power class; couplings and pulleys with a 24 mm bore and keyway will fit directly.
No minimum order quantity beyond the standard package of 1 unit. The sizing reference SH31401M is the base frame identifier — use it to cross-check against Schneider's EcoStruxure Motor Sizing tool output before committing the BOM line.
