Torque and speed across supply voltages
The SH31401M11A2100 delivers 11 Nm nominal torque at 400 V three-phase, dropping to 10.6 Nm at 480 V three-phase. On single-phase supply the torque holds near 11 Nm at 115 V and 10.95 Nm at 230 V, but the nominal output power drops to 430 W and 860 W respectively — the winding current limit is the same, but the lower DC bus voltage caps the power throughput. Nominal speed scales with voltage: 375 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 750 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 1500 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 1800 rpm at 480 V three-phase. The maximum mechanical speed is 4000 rpm regardless of supply, so the motor can overspeed the nominal point if the drive and load allow it.
Continuous and peak torque envelope
Continuous stall torque is 11.1 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, drawing 4 A continuous stall current. Peak stall torque reaches 27 Nm — roughly 2.4× the continuous rating — which gives the headroom for acceleration transients and load disturbances without tripping the drive's I²t limit. The torque constant is 2.78 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 193 V/krpm at 20 °C. These two numbers let the drive tune the current loop: the Kt tells the controller how much torque per amp to expect, and the Ke sets the voltage ceiling at speed.
Encoder, cooling, and environmental sealing
The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder gives position feedback at power-up without a homing cycle — the drive reads the absolute position from the encoder's memory on each power-on. Single-turn means the position repeats every revolution; for multi-turn applications the drive must track the turns count. Cooling is natural convection — no external fan or forced air required.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The 140 mm flange (5.5 in) with a 130 mm centring collar and 11 mm mounting holes bolts to the standard international flange pattern. The shaft is 24 mm diameter with a parallel key, 50 mm shaft length, and 8 mm key width — this mates with common coupling and pulley profiles for that frame size. Maximum radial force Fr is 1930 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1340 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force Fa is 300 N. These limits govern the belt tension or gearbox overhung load — exceeding them shortens bearing life.
Sourced through independent distribution channels. The motor ships with the straight connector and rotatable right-angled connector included.
