1700 W continuous power, 11 Nm torque — voltage-dependent speed profile
The SH31401M11A2200 delivers 1700 W continuous power with a nominal torque of 11 Nm at 400 V three-phase supply, dropping to 10.4 Nm at 480 V three-phase. Nominal speed shifts with the input voltage: 1500 rpm at 400 V three-phase, 1800 rpm at 480 V three-phase, and 375 rpm or 750 rpm on single-phase 115 V or 230 V respectively. Peak stall torque reaches 27 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 11.1 Nm at 4 A continuous stall current. Maximum mechanical speed is 4000 rpm, giving headroom above the nominal operating band for rapid moves.
Absolute single-turn Hiperface encoder and IP65/IP67 sealing
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — position is known at power-up without a homing move, which cuts cycle time on machines that power-cycle between batches. Single-turn means the absolute position wraps every revolution; for multi-turn applications the drive controller must track turns externally. IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing per IEC 60034-5 — this motor handles washdown environments and airborne particulates common in food processing or packaging lines. The rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit point be oriented during installation, useful in tight cabinet entries. Natural convection cooling means no fan noise or filter maintenance, but the thermal budget is set by the 130 °C copper hot-spot temperature — the 11 Nm nominal torque assumes free air circulation around the 140 mm flange-size housing.
The sizing reference SH31401M anchors the mechanical interface: international standard flange with 140 mm flange size, 130 mm centring collar diameter, 24 mm shaft diameter with parallel key, and 50 mm shaft length. These dimensions are fixed regardless of the encoder or brake variant, so a machine designed around the SH3 frame accepts this motor without mechanical rework.
