Speed-torque envelope across supply voltages
The SH31401M12A2100: This SH3 frame motor delivers a nominal torque of 11 Nm at 115 V single-phase (375 rpm), 10.95 Nm at 230 V single-phase (750 rpm), 10.6 Nm at 400 V three-phase (1500 rpm), and 10.4 Nm at 480 V three-phase (1800 rpm). The continuous power rating is 1700 W, with nominal output power varying from 430 W (115 V single-phase) up to 1960 W (480 V three-phase). Peak stall torque reaches 27 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque is 11.1 Nm. Maximum mechanical speed is 4000 rpm, with radial force limits of 1930 N at 1000 rpm, 1530 N at 2000 rpm, and 1340 N at 3000 rpm.
Feedback and electrical interface
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type — this gives position feedback on power-up without a homing cycle, and the SinCos track provides high-resolution velocity feedback for the drive. Electrical connection options include a straight connector and a rotatable right-angled connector, both IP65-rated at the shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5. Motor constants for drive tuning: torque constant Kt is 2.78 Nm/A at 120 °C, back-EMF constant Ke is 193 V/krpm at 20 °C. Stator resistance is 5.3 Ohm, stator inductance 88.55 mH. Continuous stall current is 4 A, maximum RMS current is 10.8 A.
Physical fit and mounting
Motor flange size is 140 mm (5.5 in), with a centring collar diameter of 130 mm and a centring collar depth of 3.5 mm. The shaft diameter is 24 mm with a parallel key and a shaft length of 50 mm. Overall motor length is 217.5 mm. Mounting holes are 11 mm diameter on the international standard flange.
