2.9 kW continuous, 3000 rpm at 400 V three-phase
The SH31401P02F2100 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor with integral holding brake, delivering 2.9 kW continuous power at 400 V three-phase supply. At 480 V three-phase it reaches 3600 rpm and 3.17 kW, making it a direct-fit replacement for a 140 mm flange motor in a 3 kW-class axis. Nominal torque varies with supply: 10.95 N·m at 115 V single-phase, 9.2 N·m at 400 V three-phase, and 8.4 N·m at 480 V three-phase. The peak stall torque is 27 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, so the motor handles short-duration overloads without losing synchronism.
Holding brake and encoder — vertical-axis and position-hold duty
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder retains position data across power cycles, eliminating the need for a homing sequence on restart. This is a time-saver on multi-axis machines where each axis would otherwise need to re-reference after a power interruption.
IP65 enclosure, natural convection, rotatable connector
No forced cooling fan is needed (natural convection), so there is no fan filter to maintain or fan noise to manage. The rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit in any of four orientations, simplifying cable routing in tight cabinets or along moving axes. The smooth shaft (no keyway) requires a clamping-type coupling — confirm the coupling bore matches the 24 mm shaft diameter before assembly.

Maximum radial force Fr is 1930 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 1340 N at 3000 rpm. For belt-driven or direct-coupled loads, the applied radial load must stay below these curves to avoid premature bearing failure. Maximum axial force Fa is 300 N — thrust loads from helical gears or leadscrews must be within this limit.
