Motor performance across supply voltages
The SH31402P02A2000: This SH3-series motor delivers different torque and speed depending on the supply configuration — a single spec number won't cover it. On three-phase 400 V it spins at 3000 rpm with 12.3 Nm nominal torque; on 480 V three-phase it reaches 3600 rpm at 9.7 Nm. For single-phase 230 V input the nominal speed drops to 1500 rpm and torque rises to 17.1 Nm. Continuous power is 3900 W, with the nominal output power varying from 1460 W on 115 V single-phase up to 3860 W on 400 V three-phase. The peak stall torque hits 60.1 Nm across the 115...480 V three-phase range — that's the short-duration overload ceiling for acceleration or hard moves.
Encoder and feedback — commissioning reality
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder means this motor keeps position after a power cycle — no homing routine on restart. The feedback resolution and protocol are locked to the drive's encoder card; if you're mating it to a third-party drive, confirm the Hiperface interface compatibility first.
Mounting and cooling
International standard flange, size 140 mm (5.5 in), with a centring collar diameter of 130 mm and depth of 3.5 mm. Four mounting holes on an 11 mm diameter circle. The motor is naturally convection cooled — no fan, so it relies on the machine frame or ambient airflow for heat rejection. IP54 on the shaft bushing without a shaft seal ring; IP65 on the motor body and with the shaft seal ring. For washdown environments, spec the shaft seal ring option to keep water out of the bearing cavity.
Electrical parameters and sizing
Stator resistance is 0.6 Ω, inductance 3.855 mH. Continuous stall current is 13.2 A; maximum RMS current (3 s peak) is 44.1 A. The torque constant is 1.47 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature — use this for drive current-loop tuning. Back EMF constant is 101 V/krpm at 20 °C — this limits the maximum achievable speed with a given DC bus voltage. The electrical connection is a rotatable right-angled connector, which helps in tight cable egress situations.
