Speed-torque envelope by supply voltage
The SH31402P02F2200: This SH3-series 140 mm flange servo delivers 3.9 kW continuous power, but the speed and torque available depend on the supply: at 400 V three-phase it spins 3000 rpm with 12.3 Nm nominal torque; at 480 V three-phase it reaches 3600 rpm with 9.7 Nm; on single-phase 230 V it runs 1500 rpm at 17.1 Nm. The peak stall torque is 60.1 Nm across the 115-480 V three-phase range, with a corresponding 3-second peak current of 44.1 A — that's the ceiling for acceleration and deceleration transients before the drive limits. Continuous stall torque at standstill is 19.5 Nm on three-phase supplies, so the motor holds position at rated current without oversizing the drive for the holding phase.
Feedback, brake, and environmental sealing
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder reports position on power-up without a homing cycle — a prerequisite for coordinated multi-axis systems where a missed frame or lost position means a fault. IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing — the sealing withstands washdown environments, though natural convection cooling means the enclosure must allow free airflow around the finned housing.
Mounting dimensions and connector
The 140 mm (5.5 in) flange uses the international standard pattern with a 130 mm centring collar and 11 mm mounting holes; the centring collar depth is 3.5 mm, so the pilot register engages fully before the bolts tighten. Smooth shaft, 24 mm diameter, 50 mm shaft extension — no keyway, so the coupling must clamp directly onto the shaft surface. The rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit in any of four orientations, simplifying cable management in a crowded panel. Maximum radial force at the shaft nose is 2240 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1550 N at 3000 rpm; axial force limit is 300 N. Stay within these for bearing life.
