Feedback and sealing for washdown lines
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface — single-cable feedback for position and commutation, no homing sequence needed after a power cycle. This is the encoder type that drives coordinated motion in food-and-bev or packaging lines where sync matters. IP65 rating on the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5 means it stands up to washdown without an extra cover. The rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit orient to the panel gland plate.
Mounting and mechanical constraints
International standard flange, 140 mm (5.5 in) flange size, centring collar diameter 130 mm (5.1 in) with a 3.5 mm (0.1 in) depth. The shaft is 24 mm (0.9 in) diameter by 50 mm (2.0 in) long with a parallel key, key width 8 mm (0.3 in). Maximum radial force Fr is 2240 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 1550 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force Fa is 300 N. Natural convection cooling — no fan, so the thermal envelope depends on the mounting surface and ambient airflow.
