Speed-torque envelope across supply voltages
The SH31402P12F2100: This motor delivers different nominal speeds depending on the supply: 750 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1500 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 3000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 3600 rpm at 480 V three-phase. The nominal torque also shifts with voltage — 18.6 N·m at 115 V single-phase drops to 9.7 N·m at 480 V three-phase — so the application voltage determines both the speed range and the usable torque. Continuous power is rated at 3900 W, with nominal output power varying from 1460 W (115 V single-phase) up to 3860 W (400 V three-phase). Peak stall torque reaches 60.1 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, giving headroom for acceleration transients.
Holding brake and mechanical interface
The shaft is 24 mm diameter with a parallel key, 50 mm shaft length, and 8 mm key width. Mounting uses an international standard 140 mm flange with 11 mm mounting holes and a 3.5 mm centring collar depth. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 2240 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1550 N at 3000 rpm; maximum axial force is 300 N.
Encoder, cooling, and environmental sealing
Feedback is via an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — no homing sequence needed on power-up, which simplifies commissioning on multi-axis machines. The electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector, allowing cable exit orientation adjustment in tight cabinets. Cooling is by natural convection — no fan, so the motor runs silently and avoids fan-filter maintenance.
Electrical parameters and sourcing status
Stator resistance is 0.6 Ω, inductance 3.855 mH, and the torque constant is 1.47 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature. The back EMF constant is 101 V/krpm at 20 °C. Maximum RMS current is 44.1 A, with a 3-second peak of the same value — the drive must be sized to supply this peak for acceleration profiles.
