Power and torque across supply configurations
The SH31403P02A2100: Rated 4100 W continuous power, but the nominal speed and torque depend on the supply voltage and phase configuration: at 400 V three-phase, nominal speed is 3000 rpm with 12.9 N.m torque; at 480 V three-phase, 3600 rpm with 9.1 N.m; at 230 V single-phase, 1500 rpm with 21.2 N.m; at 115 V single-phase, 750 rpm with 24.7 N.m. Peak stall torque reaches 90.2 N.m across the 115...480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall torque of 27.8 N.m at 17.6 A continuous stall current.
Encoder feedback and mechanical interface
Fitted with an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder, providing position feedback without a battery-backed counter — the multiturn count is retained through power cycles. Motor flange size is 140 mm (5.5 in) with a centring collar diameter of 130 mm and a 24 mm smooth shaft extending 50 mm. The rotatable right-angled connector allows cable exit orientation adjustment during installation. IP65 protection per IEC 60034-5 on both the motor body and shaft bushing, suitable for washdown environments where coolant or mist is present.
Electrical parameters for drive tuning
Stator resistance is 0.4 Ohm and stator inductance 2.66 mH — these values feed the current-loop PI gains in the servo drive autotune routine. Back EMF constant is 105 V/krpm at 20 °C, and torque constant is 1.58 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature.
Mechanical load limits and cooling
Maximum radial force is 2420 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1670 N at 3000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 300 N. These limits govern bearing life when coupling to belt drives or helical gears. Cooling is by natural convection only — no integrated fan or forced-air provision. Duty cycles with sustained low-speed high-torque operation must be checked against the continuous stall current of 17.6 A to avoid exceeding the 130 °C copper temperature limit.
