Motor ratings and supply flexibility
The SH31403P02F2200 is a three-phase servo motor with brake from Schneider's SH3 series, delivering 4.1 kW continuous power. Its nominal speed and torque shift with the supply voltage: at 400 V three-phase it spins 3000 rpm with 12.9 N.m nominal torque; at 480 V three-phase it reaches 3600 rpm with 9.1 N.m. This multi-voltage capability means the same motor can be wired into different line voltages without a hardware change — useful when a machine ships to multiple regions or when the plant voltage varies between lines. The holding brake delivers 36 N.m holding torque — enough to keep a vertical load or a heavy rotary table stationary when the drive is off. The brake is factory-integrated, so there is no separate brake resistor or external holding circuit to size.
Mechanical fit and environmental sealing
The motor mounts on a 140 mm international standard flange with a 130 mm centring collar and 11 mm mounting holes. The shaft is 24 mm diameter, smooth (no keyway), 50 mm long — typical for direct coupling to a load via a flexible jaw or bellows coupling. Overall length is 365.5 mm, which matters when fitting into a tight machine frame or a gantry carriage. Sealing is IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing, IP67 on the housing — both conforming to IEC 60034-5. That means the motor withstands hose-down cleaning and temporary submersion of the housing, making it a candidate for food-and-beverage or washdown zones where a standard IP54 servo would corrode or fail the wash cycle. The electrical connector is a rotatable right-angled type, so the cable exit can be oriented in 90° increments during installation. This avoids tight cable bends in shallow cabinets and lets the motor sit closer to the machine frame.
