Absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface — no homing cycle on power-up
The encoder is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface interface. On power-up the drive reads the absolute position within one electrical revolution — no reference run needed for applications where the axis never rotates more than 360° between cycles. The 5-pole motor pairs with this feedback for commutation; verify the drive supports Hiperface protocol before wiring. Back EMF constant is 105 V/krpm at 20 °C — this sets the voltage ceiling at high speed. At 3000 rpm the generated EMF is 315 V line-to-line, leaving headroom on a 400 V DC bus but limiting the usable speed on a 230 V bus unless the drive field-weaken.
IP65 motor body, IP67 shaft bushing — washdown-ready construction
The motor body carries IP65 per IEC 60034-5, the shaft bushing is IP67, and the housing is IP67 — meaning the encoder connector and cable entry are sealed against pressurized water jets. Suitable for food-grade washdown zones where the motor sees direct spray, provided the mating connector is also rated. Cooling is natural convection — no fan, so the thermal time constant is longer and duty-cycle applications must respect the continuous stall torque of 27.8 N·m across the voltage range. The copper hot-spot temperature is 130 °C; the stator resistance is 0.4 Ω and inductance 2.66 mH, which together set the I²R heating at the 61 A peak current.
