The Schneider Electric TA16D3S1254TPE is an automatic transfer switch from the TransferPacT series, rated 125 A continuous at 60 °C on a 400 V AC 50/60 Hz network. It's a PC-class switch per IEC 60947-6-1, meaning it's built for source changeover without a separate overcurrent-protection function — the upstream breaker handles fault clearing. The 3-pole, rotary-selector control lets you choose automatic or manual operation, with a padlockable OFF position for lockout/tagout.
The AC-33B utilization category (IEC 60947-6-1) tells you this switch handles mixed loads — motors, resistive, and some lighting — without derating. The 10 kA short-time withstand (Icw) for 0.1 s and a making capacity of 154 kA with an upstream breaker mean it can close into a fault and hold until the breaker clears, which is critical for coordination in a distribution panel.
Front-face IP40 in auto mode keeps out tools and fingers; inside the enclosure it's IP20, so live parts are protected only behind a panel door. Screwed connections top and bottom, 30 mm pitch, accept standard lugs. The mechanical interlock prevents both sources closing simultaneously.
Current production. IEC 60947-6-1 rating and 10 kA Icw confirm coordination with upstream breakers. Sourced to order against RFQ through independent distribution.
