The TM172DCLFW is the color touchscreen display module for the Modicon M172 programmable controller family. It runs on 24V AC or DC, so a single supply rail covers both, and its front panel carries an IP65 rating, holding up in washdown environments or dusty panels. Resolution sits at 320 x 240 pixels on a colour LCD; power draw is 1.3 W (3.2 VA), which is low enough that it won't load the controller's internal bus or require a dedicated power module.
The module is sized for panel cutouts matching the M171/M172 family – 1.4 in deep, 5.3 in wide, 3.8 in tall. That depth leaves room behind the gland plate for wiring and backplane connectors. Supply is external, so you run a 24V feed from the controller or a separate PSU. No internal bus power; keep the wire gauge for the distance – at 1.3 W it's under 60 mA, so small-gauge twisted pair works.
