Power supply and what it means for panel wiring
The TM218LDA40DR2HN runs on a universal AC supply — rated 100-240 Vac, 50/60 Hz, with a tolerance band of 85-264 Vac including ripple. That means it lands on a standard machine control transformer or direct line feed without a separate DC power supply module. Inrush current hits 30 A at 110 Vac and 60 A at 240 Vac — the internal bulk caps charge hard on power-up. Size the upstream circuit breaker or fuse to ride through this pulse without nuisance tripping; a C-curve MCB or slow-blow fuse handles it cleanly. The controller tolerates a 10 ms power dip at 100 Vac before the logic resets — enough to ride through a contactor dropout or brief line sag without a UPS in most industrial environments. Continuous output power draw is 34 W — the internal 24 VDC supply for the IO bus and sensor power is already accounted for in that figure. No external 24 V supply needed for the base unit.

Isolation and compliance — what the 1780 Vac rating means
Isolation between the AC power supply and the internal logic, IO, and protective earth is rated at 1780 Vac / 2500 Vdc. That's a reinforced insulation level — the controller can be wired directly to line voltage on the same panel as sensitive analog circuits without galvanic coupling issues.
