The TM218LDAE24DRHN: This is a current-production Modicon M218 controller, Schneider's compact brick for small machine control. It runs on 100...240 Vac (85...264 Vac including ripple) at 50/60 Hz, and the inrush at switch-on can hit 30 A at 110 Vac or 60 A at 240 Vac — factor that into your power supply sizing if you bang power multiple times a shift. It comes with 10 regular digital inputs plus 4 fast inputs for high-speed counting, and 10 relay outputs on board. You can add up to 4 expansion modules to reach 152 I/O max, with up to 42 relay outputs across the system.
Power and isolation
Continuous output power is rated at 25 W. Isolation between the AC supply and the logic/I/O/PE is 1780 Vac / 2500 Vdc — solid for industrial environments where ground loops are a headache.
