Product details

Overview

The TM241C40U is a Schneider Modicon M241 PLC with 40 discrete I/O: 24 inputs (8 of which are fast inputs configurable for HSC at 200 kHz) and 16 transistor outputs (4 fast outputs supporting PLS at 100 kHz or PWM at 20 kHz). Communication is via a non-isolated serial link supporting Modbus master/slave on RJ45, RS-232, RS-485, or USB. The real-time clock is backed by a BR2032 lithium battery with a 4-year life at 25 °C.

Compared to the TM241C24U, the TM241C40U adds 16 more I/O points (40 vs 24), including 10 additional standard inputs (16 vs 14) while keeping the same 4 fast inputs at 200 kHz. This makes the TM241C40U the right choice when the application needs more discrete sensing or control points without moving to a larger frame or adding an expansion module.
